Sleeping Terrorist
A 16-year-old girl, the younger of the Xia sisters named Lan Yu Xia, belonging to Amalgam. She has elegant Chinese features; her hair is in a short bob, the mole under her left eye is her distinguishing feature with her eyes as cold as ice, and the focus of the cold gaze is Kaname Chidori. Lan Yu’s regular clothes include a long-sleeve white shirt under a red and blue button-up overcoat, dark miniskirt, red calve socks and black boots; although she has also appeared wearing a Chinese silk dress in the Nanjing incident when she hid among the hostages as a sleeper terrorist. She literally killed three of Mithril’s PRT soldiers instantaneously. Her skill as an assassin is the best of the best, her weaponry of choice consist of two machetes of differing lengths complete with sheaths. The hatchets Lan Yu has concealed is a blade that tends to partially pulverize its targets… but in her possession alongside her brilliant combat sense, the blades slice through various materials. Mao was held at knifepoint with these. She also hid a knife on her person, her skill in killing Tony by slashing his throat shows that she excels at lethal tactics. Later, while monitoring Yan’s squad evacuating from the shadows, she was seen dangerously toying with the knife. She also excels at hand-to-hand combat and her close quarter combat techniques even overwhelmed Sergeant Major Mao. The way she moves efficiently and expressionlessly kills and injures people with indifference conjures images of a killing machine. Lan Yu revels in the claim that she “never feels fear” and her expression seldom cracks when facing the outside world. The only people she trusts are her one and only blood relative Fan Yu, her elder twin (data to follow) and the person the twins call “Teacher” codename for Gauron, The Nine Dragons. Incidentally, it seems that deep down she hates Gates quite a bit.
Fan Yu Xia, the elder Xia twin, also belongs to Amalgam. She is 16 years old and a lethal weapon trained intensely since she was young. She shares her sister’s deep love for her only blood relative and “Teacher,” whom she owes a debt of gratitude. She is particularly gifted when it comes to piloting Arm Slaves and in the Nanjing incident, she piloted a Xy-98. In the tunnel under the Yangtze she drove Sergeant Kurz’s M9 to the brink of destruction. However, it is not as if these two have sworn their allegiance to Amalgam. Telling Gates that they will “kill those kids” referencing Angel and Sergeant Sousuke for “Teacher” codename for Gauron Fan Yu leaves the organization along with her younger sister.
Both of the Xia sisters are confirmed as dead. Lan Yu Xia choked to death by mechanical means and Fan Yu Xia’s body horribly maimed.
In the novels the Xia sisters are potrayed as an older, Fah Jau, and younger brother named Feihung.
