Black Technology
In the world of Black Technology, Arm Slaves nearly eight meters tall roam
the battlefields and ultra-large high-tech submarines silently glide through
the water. Palladium reactors can be imbedded into an Arm Slave. ECS can
provide total concealment, electronic fibers mimic human muscles, and the
EMFC system controls super-powerful submarines. The TDD-1, as well as
ultra-sensitive computers, and the near-mystical “Lambda Driver” are also
in use. Sophisticated military technology has changed the way battles are fought.
There are many, like Lt. Commander Kalinin and Commander Mardukas whom simply connot believe this type of techology exists.
However, it is the reality. Technology has advanced at unimaginable levels. The acceleration began in the 1980s. Besides the success of weaponery technology like the ADI system, which was begun by the Reason administration, civilian technology progressed remarkably. It resulted in advancing technology in society as well.
This body of technology which defies reality is known as Black Technology, or “non-existent technology.” So just how was this ultra-technology born? The one thing that is clear is that the ones who “concieved of” Black Technology do not exist anywhere in this world. They just knew ultra-technology “before they were born.”
The people who brought Black Technology into the wrold are called the “Whispered” or “Those whom are whispered about.” There are only a limited number of people like Kaname Chidori or Tessa Testarossa who are known as the “Whispered.” And their value is immeasurable.
Paradoxically, the secrecy of the “Whispered” is both what is desired to be kept a secret and desired to be discovered. It is speculated that those whom are “Whispered” share the same date of birth, however, due to the secrecy this data can not yet be confirmed. Mithril is continually working to research the “Whispered,” how to protect them and how they came to be.
