The Story Behind the Giant AS Incident
THE HUNT FOR THE MYSTERY AS THAT APPEARED IN TOKYO BAY
Perhaps you haven’t heard about the late-night appearance of a giant AS in Tokyo Bay. It’s being spun to the public as a bombing inflicted by the small-scale Japanese terrorist organization A21, but what most people don’t know is that this incident also involved the appearance of a giant AS.
The freight transport vessel George Clinton was moored offshore when the giant AS crashed through its hull. The AS was said to have devastated the bay area using the 30mm machine guns mounted on its head and the rugged sword on its back. From the wreckage recovered afterwards, the slits under its armor seem to be exhaust events for a gas turbine engine- the backside view recreated allowed us to confirm the shape of the sword attached to its back. Moreover, it was reported that a single AS of unknown make bearing large-scale missiles with warheads successfully attacked and destroyed the giant AS, which the public safety institutions of this nation had been unable to deal with. Despite the magnitude of the incident, newspapers and TV media passed it off as a mere terrorist bombing. Not one word of the AS in question passed their lips. This is in spite of the photographs and the remaining wreckage of the destroyed AS.
The mission of this magazine is to report on any and all AS-related incidents and phenomena. Using eyewitness reports gathered through independent sources, we were successful in recreating the scene as it was on the day of the incident. We were also able to determine that the mystery AS that grappled with and eventually destroyed the giant AS was the same make and model as the AS of unknown make that was involved in the school trip hijacking incident that this magazine featured in a previous issue. A small-scale terrorist organization caused the incident at hand, but what about the mysteries that surround the incident? Let’s try to make some sense of those mysteries.
First, how could A21, a terrorist organization composed of a small number of young people, manage to get their hands on a giant AS that was presumed to stand more than 50m high? The possibility that they built it themselves has already been denied. There can be no doubt that the AS in question was given to them by some unknown organization for an unknown reason.
Second, is the question of the nature of the mystery AS that grappled with and eventually destroyed the giant AS. Its body resembled the form of a third-generation AS, and after running circles around the giant AS on account of its superior maneuverability, it demolished the latter in a stunning display of power. But there are only two known models of third-generation AS in existence: The M9, currently undergoing official testing and the Soviet-built Zy-98 that is still being confirmed. Witnesses to the AS in question report that it bore a resemblance to the M9, but there is no record whatsoever of an M9 inside Japan.
Third, is the fact of the pressure brought to bear on this incident from all sides. In all likelihood, this magazine will be the only media vehicle to offer detailed coverage of the incident. Moreover, there’s the fact that it wasn’t the terrorist incident itself that was covered up, but rather just the existence of the giant AS and the mystery AS that destroyed it. The presence of these two has been selectively culled from the media reports, in a way that makes it apparent that the ones in charge intend to prevent the world from finding out about these two unknown AS units.
There are also many troubling questions relating to the AS units themselves. The giant AS, referred to by the codename “Behemoth” within the Metropolitan Police Department and the Defense Agency as it is five times larger than a typical AS, would have collapsed under the force of its own weight. It has simply taken the idea of a second-generation heavy AS and expanded on it. Most likely, it was originally intended to be fitted with massive amounts of artillery. A cheap and strong but very heavy cast iron armor covered its entire body, and it was said to have been carrying a massive load of fuel. The cockpit, from the wreckage material, was determined to be large and spacious, as would be expected considering its gigantic size. The shape of the seats closely resembled those of the AS units used in the West.
Normally, the mass of a uniform body increases in proportion to the square root of its height. And AS of approximately 50m in total height should have weighted something around 1000 metric tons or more. But judging from the depth of the footprints that it made in the asphalt, it was reported to have weighed no more than 40 or 50 tons at the most. Furthermore, testimonies indicate that in response to gunfire from the “heavy-armored riot police,” an inexplicable radiation phenomenon was observed, coupled with a kind of shimmering shield-like effect that the AS used to repel the fire.
The strange term “Lambda Driver” was used among some of those who were involved in the incident. Both the shield and the mass reduction were said to be the work of this Lambda Driver. If that’s the case, then it seems appropriate to conclude that the mystery AS that destroyed Behemoth was equipped with a Lambda Driver of its own.
The mystery AS that destroyed Behemoth is referred to by the codename “Ninja” within the Metropolitan Police Department and the Defense Agency. To the best of our ability to determine, it’s an altogether standard third-generation AS, albeit somewhat advanced. It possessed a frame capable of almost perfect recreation of human movement, and there’s little doubt that it was also equipped with a high-output electromagnetic musculature. From the fact that eyewitnesses didn’t report hearing a high-pitched metallic exhaust sound, we must also conclude that it was equipped with a Palladium reactor.
We here at the AS FAN editorial department are not conspiracy theorists, but it’s impossible not to get the sense that at least one- and possible two- large and influential groups are lurking behind this incident: the first group is the one that provided A21 with the giant AS, perhaps in an attempt to incite a revolution within Japan; and there may be a second group fighting the first group. It’s entirely possible that the incident at Tokyo Bay was a battle between the two organizations in question. It’s beginning to look like that’s the case.
