1. The Guy I Like is Kinda a Sergeant

Our story opens on scenes characterizing peaceful Japan. The ocean, regular traffic and bridges - there is nothing out of the ordinary about the scenes at all. 2. I Want to Protect You

We get brief fleeting highlights from the previous episode to open this episode. Afterwards we show up in Japanese waters viewing the Mithril home submarine. This time we go beyond the cargo repair hold and find ourselves in the control room with Lt. Commander Kalinin alongside a very young woman whom he refers to as Madam Captain. She appears to be Sousuke’s age and nervously swirls and pulls a tuft of hair between frail fingers…[ more ]

3. Lingerie Panic

Again we view the breathtaking sleekness of the Mithril submarine. Entering the control room we see the Captain thinking aloud about the peculiarities of a class trip. She delves into her past living in Okinawa as a little girl, the destination of the trip. She reveals that she did not get along well with Japanese students and eventually transferred to the school located on her father’s base, suggesting militant involvement of her father…[ more ]

4. Kidnap

Flight JNA-903 welcomes all passengers and their conversations to the Class Trip Destination, Naha Airport. As usual, Shinji obsesses over his technical manuals, as per usual, Sousuke listens (and if he’s interested this time around, it’s very difficult to tell - not anything like the height of his interest on the balcony last episode!) and, as usual, Kyoko snaps photos of her first experience on a plane…[ more ]

5. The Whispered One

Strange words whimsically cross our view. A low, ominous orb draws us into a swirling whirlwind of words that mean nothing to us, but apparently they are placing a rather prominent effect on Kaname. She starts to scream and demand she be let out of her glass encasement, the blinders forcing the images upon her ripped from her face. Her scream is swirled with anxiety and torment. Further underlying her reasoning she declares forcefully, “I can’t take it! No more of your stupid 3D videos… Let me GO!” - suggesting the intrusion on her inhumanely is about at its end…[ more ]

6. Still Alive

Sagara and Kaname barely escapes from the enemy. Now on the run they try to find a way out. Deep in the forest Sagara isn’t able to move much more with his injuries, so Kaname decides to stop and rest for a bit. After Sagara was able to stop the bleeding, Kaname realizes how dangerous and mysterious Sagara really is. To make matters worst they find a unexpected person along the way. It’s Kurtz, who looks badly beaten by Gauron. As three try to make to the shoreline they find themselves in a tight pinch; the forest ended and all there is now is plain fields. Not Knowing what to do Sagara had only one idea left and that is to have himself and Kurtz distracts the enemy’s force while Kaname make a run to safety, but Kaname refuses to leave. Then Sagara aims his gun at Kaname and tells her it’s better to die than to have them do experiments on you. What will Kaname do? Will she follow Sagara’s plan or take the chance of risking her life to stay with Sagara?

7. Boy Meets Girl

The tables have turned now that the new experimental AS has arrived for Sousuke and he quickly dispatches the enemy AS. However the Silver AS that Kurz encountered before, has appeared on the scene once again and Sousuke must deal with it and it’s dangerous pilot Gauron.
Sousuke is having trouble against Gauron as his AS appears to have some special weapon and Kaname is strangely aware of the situation, it seems she may be able help to Sousuke in this battle of epic proportions.


8. Part Time Steady

Chidori rejects a two-timing jerk’s (Shirai) confession but whose actions cause his girlfriend, Mizuki, to seek revenge on Chidori. When slander is written on the class’s board, Chidori and friends rushes to the boys’ toilet, knowing that Sagara probably got Shirai in a stranglehold. When Shirai ditches Mizuki, she demands that Sagara acts as her boyfriend instead as she had promised to show off her boyfriend in front of her Jr High friends. However, they find him suspious as he doesn’t fit Mizuki’s previous description at all. The scam fell apart when the real Shirai turns up with his new girlfriend in tow. When Mizuki still insists that Sagara is the real deal, the friends requested Sagara to kiss Mizuki so as to test the couple. Sagara promptly compiles. Both Mizuki and Chidori are angered and Mizuki runs off crying after pushing Sagara into the river. Turns out Mizuki’s friends genuinely cares for her and chases after her. When Chidori helps Sagara out from the river, their closeness made Chidori anticipates a kiss from Sagara but instead, he’s wringing his clothes on the side. Embarassed, she storms off, leaving a baffled Sagara behind.


9. Dangerous Safehouse

Madam Captain Tessa hides in Sousuke’s home with a prisoner. Kaname misunderstands when she finds a woman in Sousuke’s house.


10. Run Running Run

Chidori did not quite believe that Tessa is Sagara’s superior as Tessa is having fun acting blur. Meanwhile, Kalinin is being interrogated by Takuma’s ’sister’ and learns the history of A21. When Sagara discovers a sensor on Takuma, the group moves to the school to wait for back-up. In the room, Tessa manages to build a rapport with Takuma. The girls are captured by A21 while visiting the washroom and the group forces Sagara to make a choice over who to release first. Considering that Chidori is more athletic even though the second person will be in more danger, Sagara asks for the clumsy Tessa to be released first. When it’s Chidori’s turn, she grapples with Takuma half way through. A shoot-out occurs and both girls are captured while a mini-torpedo hits the spot which Sagara is hiding in.


11. Behemoth Wakes

Teresa and Kaname get captured and held hostage on a freight ship. Together with Kalinin they manage to flee. However on their break free, their worst fears come true.


12. One Night Stand

The Behemoth is destroying the city and chasing after Tessa, Kaname, Kurz, and Sousuke with killing intent. It’s up to the group to destroy Behemoth to prevent further damage and casualties.


13. Cat and Kittens’ R+R

Tessa’s time of relaxing in the lounge is ruined by Melissa and her unfeminine habits. They both end up getting into a huge argument, which ends up in Tessa challenging Melissa to a mock AS battle, with the loser having to do something indecent. Luckily for Tessa, Sousuke is there to help teach the fine arts of “how to pilot an AS”. As the time for the battle arises, will Tessa be able to win and who will end up humiliated?


14. Narushima Burning?

There is a public event where two teams of AS compete in contests such as tug-of-war. Sousuke, Shinji, Kaname, and her friends watch. Shinji’s father is a secretary for one of the teams, and Shinji is ashamed of him for not being an AS pilot. Their team is losing badly to the opposing team since the opposing team is cheating. During the table tennis match, Sousuke shows up in his AS and makes a save. Will their team stand a chance with Sousuke’s aid?


15. Wind Rising in the Homeland 1

Gauron is still alive, and an assassanation has been planned to take place on him. Sousuke is ordered to join five American AS pilots on the assassination since he is familiar with the terrain and enemy. The American pilots are rude to Sousuke and don’t believe he has any skill since he is only a teenager. The group finds Gauron with some cargo guarded by AS. One of the trucks is carrying an AS, and the other truck is carrying something unknown.


16. Wind Rising in the Homeland 2

Sousuke leads the US soldiers in a canyon where they can hide out. Since one of them is badly wounded, they have to reach out for help. Since Sousuke fought in this area as child, he knows exactly where to get it - but his own past catches up with him.


17. Wind Rising in the Homeland 3

Sousuke fights Zaied while Gauron finishes off the remaining Mithril team. When it appears that he is outsmarted and beaten, Sousuke kills his old friend. He then confronts Gauron and when their Lambda drivers collide, Sousuke emerges the sole survivor.


18. Deep Sea Party

Kaname is nervous when Sousuke asks to go to a secluded island with him, but is less enthused when it was a ruse to go to Mithril’s base instead. When she arrives on the Danaan, she is surprised at the royal treatment she receives and is invited to the submarine’s first anniversary party.


19. Engage Six and Seven

Melissa recounts to Tessa and Kaname how she recruited Kurz and Sousuke into the SRT. Initially, they were unlikely candidates; however, their combat skills displayed during a mission changed her mind.


20. Venom’s Flame

Tessa shares with Kaname the nature of resonance between two Whispered. Meanwhile, the SRT prepares for a mission against terrorists lead by Gauron, found to be alive again. During the battle, Gauron is captured, but Melissa ends up gravely injured.


21. Deep Trap

Overcome with guilt over Melissa’s condition, Sousuke lashes out at Kaname. Realizing his mistake, he looks for Kaname to apologize; however, with help from SRT traitors, Gauron takes control of the Danaan’s AI with a special program, holding Tessa, Kaname, and the command crew hostage.


22. Jack in the Box

To discredit Mithril, Gauron uses the Danaan to attack American warships. Tessa communicates to Kaname using resonance a plan to regain control of the submarine, then creates a diversion that allows Kaname to escape. Gauron’s men pursue her, but Sousuke and Kurz arrive in time to help.


23. Giant’s Field

Kaname connects herself directly to the Danaan’s computer system and re-programs it while Sousuke heads to the bridge. He rescues Tessa and the crew, but Gauron manages to escape. As Gauron is about to destroy the Danaan with his AS, Sousuke arrives in his Arbalest.


24. Into the Blue

Sousuke and Gauron fight each other within the confines of the Danaan. As they struggle, Gauron activates his AS’s self-destruct to destroy both himself and the Danaan. With Kaname’s help, Sousuke jettisons Gauron’s AS from the submarine just as it explodes.
