Masatami Hyuuga

The young boy enamoured with our heroine, Kaname Chidori. Surprising for his young age, he lives in mansion atop the coastal highland overlooking the numerous ocean activities. Hyuuga preferred to be called “Master Masatami” by his 3 servants Washio, Samejima and Gyoudou. He’s suffering from a nervous disorder that prevents him from going outside by his psychiatrist’s orders. The pathology of his disease state arose from a traumatic incident at age six, long ago when he had dreamed of marrying his cousin one year his senior. They spent a lot of time together as children, she had become the one person he could trust and both spoke freely of the betrothal plans. Instead, a vehicle incident involving his cousin became the downfall of their plans. She was unhurt by the driver.

But while she survived, Hyuuga was betrayed when she ultimately fell in love with the driver. The mere thought of the betrayal drives him crazy, sustaining emotional outbursts, profuse sweating and borderline thoughtless endangering of himself. During Fumoffu’s Episode 3 “Summer Illusion of Steel” he spotted Kaname on the beach through binoculars. Immediately smitten, he sent his house servant Washio to invite Kaname to his mansion for a cup of tea. During the social gathering he suffered from a breakdown in response to Kaname’s tentatively inquiry about his illness. His illness is labled Dystonia that targets his autonomic nervous system, but Hyuuga’s case is symptomatically unique with additional shortness of breath and migraines that interrupt his studies. There is no cure and in common cases, people with this psychological disease suffer from constipation or diarrhea because of heightened worries and stress. This outburst in front of Kaname revealed his deep hate for liars and those whom use others.—fmp_whispered
