Sergeant Zimmer, pronounced ‘Jimmer’ is one of the limited instructors at the training camp Sergeant Major Melissa Mao visits to fulfill the positions of Uruz 6 and Uruz 7 of the Special Response Unit. When the President’s daughter is kidnapped for ransom he is assigned the rear-detail with three other Mithril personnel, then Petty Officer Melissa Mao, Sergeant Kurz Weber and Sergeant “Sousuke Seagal.”

Team Topaz, the frontal assault rescue unit, is taken prisoner by the guerrilla leaving the four soldiers of Sergeant Zimmer’s team. He advises Petty Officer Melissa Mao that regrouping is the best option in such conditions. When she tells him regrouping would allow the enemy more time to prepare he tries once more to convince her before they carry through with her plan.

While his role is minimal, his shots were crucial after Sergeant Kurz Weber’s single bullet taking down the first Arm Slave providing a distraction while Sousuke overtook one of the other two remaining Arm Slaves, securing their unlikely victory.—miz
