M9E Gernsback

Considered by many to be the world’s first 3rd Generation Arm Slave, it is the primary combat unit of MITHRIL, especially the Special Response Team (SRT as it is more often known as).

Its capabilities appear to be well rounded in all aspects. Most units are equipped with an ECS (Electric-Concealment System) that far outclasses most of the rest of the world’s Arm Slaves. Standard issue armament includes a 40 mm GEC-B assault rifle and a GRAW-2 Machete Monomolecular cutter. Due to the unit’s ostensibly singular use by Mithril, custom parts and weaponry are not unheard of (as in the instances of Sergeant Major Mao and Sergeant Weber).

*There is vacillating speculation that this was a variant of this unit called the M9D Falke, which was the prototype for the Gernsback and the Arbalest. Originally, the Falke was meant to be equipped with a Lambda Driver, but Geotron Electronics scrapped the program after two Arm Slaves were made, production was halted, and the units were used as bases for which the ARX-7 Arbalest was built around.—Amalgam_Gates
