Teletha Testarossa

Captain by sea, student by land. On a whim decision, Teletha “Tessa” Testarossa decides to attend Jindai High for two weeks as a foreign exchange student. Tessa is instantly welcomed by the class. She’s smart, adorable and extremely friendly with every classmate. Nearly instantly, Tessa is pegged as the new love interest of Sousuke Sagara—and circumstances certainly allow for such conclusions.

While Andrei Kalinin is the personal designated guardian of Sousuke, Richard Mardukas assumes this role for Tessa. He is quite protective of her safety and will go to great lengths to ensure it.
Tessa was born and raised a military brat, living in a variety of places—including Japan. During her first time in Japan, she did not get along very well with the students at the school. However, that experience does not deter her from attempting the civil life again (possibly motivated by her need for normalcy or spending more time in a more relaxed setting with her crush, Sousuke). This time she enjoys her time so much she anticipates another visit in the future.

Not much is known concerning the status of her parents. While her mother is never mentioned, Melissa takes on the role in a rough sort of way. Her father was involved in the service—constantly uprooting the young Captain. Tessa does have one living blood relative, her older brother, Leonard Testarossa. His constant ability to outdo her in a variety of things placed a strain on their relationship from a very young age and has contributed significantly to Tessa’s competitive nature.

Tessa takes quite a few close friends from the school with her on a trip to a Japanese hot spring before her mandatory farewell to return to duty.—MIZ
