They are given independent assignments by Gauron (using Amalgam) to substantiate an end to the poisoning of Sousuke’s ‘beautiful soul’ since he refuses to see himself as dirtying it by becoming integrated with society in any way, further exasterbated by joining the structured command ranks of Mithril. Viewing Kaname as Sousuke’s ultimate poison, Gauron knows his word is law to the twins and will be fulfilled without hesitation - even to the death if necessary. The twins have fallen victim to his puppeteering.
Yu Fan compliments her sister as a lethal weapon, holding any kind of diminuative affection for her only blood relative and “Teacher” as they refer to Gauron. In addition to training up as an Arm Slave pilot of a Zy-98 Shadow, with which she renders Kurz’s M9 nearly non-commisionable - she also diplays proficiency in close-range combat both with small arms and without. Betraying the Amalgam agency to aid her filfilling Teacher’s wishes, she steals a Chodarl in central Hong Kong and shows no difficulty in adjusting to the AS system.
When the Xia sisters betray Amalgam it is Yu Fan whom discloses the sorrowful reason. Seems the agency was responsible for the annihilation of their Chinese hometown during the Second Chinese Civil War.
Physical characteristics include longer dark hair tied to either side of her face, a mole under her right eye and a long trench coat trimmed in green.—MIZ
