In spite of his looks he is actually Japanese. Having essentially grown up on the battlefield, Gauron came to the conclusion that the various values society retained, concerning morals and death, are meaningless. The assassins, the Xia sisters, faithfully follow the beliefs of Gauron, their benefactor. Sensing his imminent death, Gauron plots this final incident in order to draw Sousuke back into the world he inhabits. What he considers the desolate and ‘beautiful’ world – where there is neither worry nor indecision nor suffering. It is an ugly and twisted expression of love.
Considering his wretched state in TSR, perhaps his obsession with Sousuke was the only thing keeping him alive. He is in the state where his life is barely being maintained by they medical equipment he is hooked up to. The Xia sisters took care of all his needs.
The first time Sousuke and Gauron came across one another was five years ago in Halmajistan, back when Sousuke still went by the name Kashim. Two years later Kalinin and Sousuke fought Gauron and thought they had consigned him to oblivion. However, Gauron reappeared before Sousuke once more as the instigator of the hijacking in Khanka, in which he abducted Kaname. Since then, Gauron has endangered the Mithril Organization numerous times, such as the weapons smuggling in Helmajistan and the sea-jacking attempt to seize the TDD-1.
When Gauron saw Kashim disposing the bodies of the dead enemy soldiers with such a casual indifference, he thought the sight was ‘beautiful.’ In the sea-jacking incident, he was defeated by Sousuke and thought to be dead by everyone, and was left at sea with his Venom.—miz
